Introduction - What is Hypertension?

Hypertension: Can be defined has having High blood pressure, the ranges below show ranges of blood pressure which fall into either normal presures or hypertention pressures.

Diastolic - The blood pressure during relaxation and dilatation of the ventricles of the heart, the time when the ventricles are filling with blood.

<85 Normal

>90 Hypertension

Systolic - The blood pressure when the vemntricles of the heart is contracting. It is the maximum arterial pressure during contraction of the left ventricle of the heart.
